Professor Brian Kirby is a Consultant Dermatologist at St Vincent’s University Hospital and a Full Clinical Professor at University College Dublin. He is Principal Investigator at the Charles Institute of Dermatology at University College Dublin. His clinical and research interests include psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa.
Professor Kirby is a member of the steering committee of British Association of Dermatologists Biologics and Immunomodulatory Register, a member of the International Psoriasis Council, a member of the Scientific committee of the European Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation and Chairman of the Clinical Advisory Group of Dermatology at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
He has authored or co-authored more than 270 PubMed quoted publications, the majority of which are on psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa. Together with Professor David Burden he has co-authored the chapter on Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis in the latest edition of the Rook textbook. He is an Associate Editor of the British Journal of Dermatology and Dermatology.
